A Great Dish Cooking Studio is a place for people who love food -- eating it, preparing it, or just talking about it.  Have you ever noticed how the best parties always end up in the kitchen?  Well, I've turned culinary education into a dinner party, paired it with some amazing wines, and I'm inviting you to be my guest. You'll leave full and happy, and if I've instilled in you a little bit more love for my all-consuming passion, then I feel like I've done my job well.

Class themes range from healthy cuisine to decadent chocolate desserts to technical skills, but no matter what we're cooking, we always have a great time.  Class size is limited to 6 or 8 persons to provide for individual attention but be sure to register early since classes fill up quickly.

Or, as many do, you can arrange your own private class with up to six people.  Just give me a call or drop me an email and we can develop a menu that's perfect for your group.  Phone:  410-212-2224 or email stacey@agreatdish.com

Don't forget to sign up for my  newsletter where I will focus on a specific technique and recipe every month.

PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO THE OPENING OF TASTINGS THAT THE COOKING STUDIO IS ON HOLD UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.

IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO BE NOTIFIED OF WHEN CLASSES RESUME PLEASE ADD YOUR EMAIL ADDRESS TO OUR MAIL LIST ABOVE.

What's Cooking

By now many of you know that I have opened a new gourmet retail store called Tastings Gourmet Market & Artisanal Cheese Center.  We are located in Clock Tower at 1410 Forest Drive next to Wine Cellars of Annapolis.

I decided to open the store because I simply couldn't find the type of products that I fell in love with while traveling all over Europe.  But it's more than just the products themselves, it's about the experience of walking into an Old World style European market and smelling the pungent odors of dried salumis hanging from the ceiling or having all your cheeses cut to order and wrapped in parchment paper.

Tastings will be a one of a kind market offering fresh meats, charcuterie, ps, artisanal, farmstead and imported cheeses, Parisian chocolates, artisanal breads, and many specialty pantry items. By the way, if you want to stop in during lunch, we'll be offering fabulous sandwiches and salads to go, all featuring our special cheeses and meats.

We'll soon be on the web at www.tastingsgourmetmarket.com where we'll offer an extensive cheese library, an exclusive wine & cheese pairing tool and on-line store.

Want to know more about cheese?  You can read my column, The Cheese Course, featured in The Capital Gazette food section, google me online  or read my blog.

I welcome all your comments  or if you just want to drop a line and tell me what your favorite cheese is you can email me at info@tastingsgourmet.com or call the store at (410)263-1324.

"Your teaching style is wonderful and I feel more confident as a cook.  Thanks for inspiring me to get back in the kitchen" - Susan Richardson

"My husband and I attended your soup cooking lesson back in the Fall at Whole Foods. A few weeks after, I made the best leek and potato soup ever. I have bragged about your class for months and let people know that I learned more about cooking in the first 20 minutes of your class than I have in 10 years." - Sharon New-Bauckman
